The series visits four continents, with Türkiye and Mexico joining the calendar for the very first time.

The FIA Formula 2 Championship has revealed it’s 2027 calendar, with some notable differences.
A series first visit to Türkiye (subject to FIA circuit homologation) and Mexico are the standout additions.
However, Spa Francorchamps and Budapest are noticeably absent from the calendar.
With two out and two in, the series stays at 14 rounds.
As always the championship follows the F1 calendar, racing on the same weekends.
FIA President, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, said: “The addition of Istanbul and Mexico City will bring Formula 2 to new audiences and give the next generation of talent the opportunity to compete on an even greater variety of circuits around the world.
“Alongside the return to Montreal, these additions further strengthen a truly international calendar across four continents.
“I look forward to another exciting season and to seeing the stars of the future continue their journey towards the highest levels of our sport.”
FIA Formula 2 CEO, Bruno Michel, said: “I’m very excited to add three new venues in a financially sustainable way, with the return of Montreal following its surprise addition in 2026 and the first appearance of Istanbul and Mexico City.
“We will be covering freight costs so that the territorial expansion of the calendar does not financially impact our teams.
“With a calendar spanning four continents and a carefully distributed sequence of Rounds, the 2027 FIA formula 2 Championship will offer teams and drivers a demanding and diverse season, while bringing the category to new audiences and strengthening its position as a global platform for the next generation of Formula 1 talent.”
