The French driver is out with a wrist injury, with Liam Lawson being called up to replace him.
Redbull’s Isack Hadjar (21) will miss this weekends Dutch Grand Prix after he sustained a wrist injury, reportedly during a gym session.
Replacing him is Liam Lawson (24), who steps up from Racing Bulls to the main team. It’s his second stint with the Milton Keynes – based outfit, after his dismal first outing with them last year, being dropped after just two rounds.
It’s a big opportunity for the New Zealander. Hadjar looks like the answer to Redbull’s second driver problem, and Young Arvid Lindblad (19) impressing at Racing Bulls.
Lawson doesn’t seem to be part of Redbull’s plans for the future, and so this weekend will be a huge chance for him to show the other teams on the grid what he is capable of.
However, this obviously leaves a vacant seat at Racing Bulls for the weekend.
Yuki Tsunoda (26) will be returning to F1 this weekend to fill the vacant seat at Racing Bulls alongside Lindblad.
It’s his first F1 race since he was dropped by Redbull at the end of last season, having spent the previous four years at their sister team.
However, like Lawson, Redbull didn’t really seem to take him seriously, and only saw him as a stop gap until they could find a more permanent replacement.
Nevertheless, the Japanese driver is well experienced with the team, but has yet to driver this current generation of car.
He will also be hoping to make an impression this weekend, with many other drivers out of contract at the end of this year.
In a short statement, Redbull said: “Oracle Redbull Racing driver Isack Hadjar has sustained a wrist injury during summer shutdown that will prevent him from racing at the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix.
“We will be welcoming back Liam Lawson who will replace him in RB22 this weekend.
“The team wished Isack a speedy recovery and thanks Liam for stepping in on short notice.”
