The Canadian driver missed the last Grand Prix in Spain due to a pain in his wrist, and underwent a medical procedure to try and resolve the issue.
After a week of speculation as to who could replace him, the team confirmed today that Stroll is fit to drive and will be in the car for the upcoming race in Montreal.

This all started after qualifying in Spain last week, when Aston Martin announced that Stroll would miss the Grand Prix and undergo a medical procedure after experiencing pain in his hand and wrist.
The injury is believed to be linked with a bicycle accident Stroll suffered a few weeks before the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix, which left him with fractures in both of his wrists and right toe.
Amazingly however, Stroll was in the car for the race, and managed a P6 finish despite visible signs that he was still in pain.
Hopefully for his sake the pain will be less severe this time around, as prepares to race in front of his home crowd this weekend.
In a statement released today, Stroll said: “I’m feeling good after my procedure and put some laps in at Paul Ricard this week to prepare.”
“I am excited to get back behind the wheel with the team for my home Grand Prix this weekend.”
“I was always going to fight hard to be ready to race in front of the Montreal crowd.”
