Abbi Pulling extended her title advantage as she picked up another win during round 3 of F1 Academy 2024.

She started off her weekend in the best possible way, claiming pole position for both races ahead of Chole Chambers.
Race 1 would be a smooth ride for the Alpine driver, with a lights to flag victory to win by 4 seconds for her 4th win in a row, ahead of Nerea Marti and Chloe Chambers, despite an early safety car for a collision between Maya Weug and Amna Al Qubaisi. Her closest rival in the championship, Doriane Pin had a race to forget, as she stalled on the grid which lost her a handful of places and could only manage a P8 finish.
Race 2 would get underway with a great start from Chloe Chambers, the Haas driver taking the lead off of Pulling with a great launch off the line. Pulling just couldn’t match the pace of Chambers, who cruised home for a memorable first victory in F1 Academy, crossing the line 7 seconds ahead of Pulling in 2nd and Redbull’s Hamda Al Qubaisi in 3rd. This win sees Chambers move up the standings with 81 points to her name, tied with Pin for second albeit a long way off from championship leader Abbi Pulling.

Mick Schumacher will be testing with Alpine at Paul Ricard this week. Schumacher, who drives for Alpine in the world endurance championship (WEC), will get behind the wheel of a 2022 spec Alpine alongside Alpine’s reserve driver Jack Doohan as the team asses it’s driver options for the 2025 season.
Schumacher last drove in F1 for Haas but was let go after a mediocre 2022 season and since then there has been test and Reserve driver for Mercedes as well as a driver for Alpine’s Hypercar project in WEC.
