Championship leader Aron secured a maiden F2 pole by the slimmest of margins during qualifying in Barcelona

Qualifying Report
There was a red flag early on in the session as Taylor Barnard went into the barriers at turn 9, meaning he was unable to set a lap and will start at the back for both races. His teammate Joshua Duerksen on the other hand had a decent session, taking his AIX car to 7th, meaning he’ll be starting on the second row for tomorrow’s sprint race.
Ahead of him was Miyata, who qualified a season best 6th, ahead of his teammate Maloney who could only manage 17th, a poor result from him after leading the standings early on in the season.

Bearman’s struggles this season continued into qualifying as he could only managed 15th, after having drove for Haas in FP1. His teammate on the other hand, Antionelli, qualified 5th, just behind F3 champion and McLaren junior driver Gabriel Bortoleto in 4th.
Colapinto qualified 3rd, while Dams driver Jak Crawford missed out on pole by just 0.002 seconds, with the top three being separated by just 0.006 seconds!
Alpine junior Kush Maini qualified 10th and so will line up on pole position for tomorrows sprint race alongside Victor Martins.

Up next- We’ve got a busy day tomorrow with the F2 and F3 sprint races getting underway along with qualifying for the Spanish grand prix.
