10 Days To Vegas!

Locals reaction

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is just over a week away, and the excitement among fans and drivers is palpable. However, not everyone is thrilled about the upcoming event. Residents of Las Vegas have expressed their displeasure as images and videos have circulated online, showing famous landmarks such as the iconic Venetian pool being covered up by grandstands and fencing. Even bridges that cross over the strip have been caged off, obstructing the once captivating view. Despite the community’s concerns, the anticipation for the race continues to build.

Ticket Sales

It would appear that the organisers may have overestimated the anticipation for this event, as ridiculously expensive hotel packages offered by some hotels costed tens of thousands of pounds this time last year but have plummeted to just a few thousand pounds as of today due to the lack of people willing to spend the absurd amounts of money to watch an f1 race from afar away hotel room. It is evident that the considerable price reduction reflects the reality of a diminished interest in these overpriced accommodations. With such extravagant costs associated with attending the event, many race enthusiasts are undoubtedly opting for more accessible and reasonably priced alternatives

The future of the grand prix

The future of the grand prix is already in jeopardy as local residents are fed up with their city being turned into a race track, and millions of dollars of their councils money going towards the event. Fans online have also been quick to notice the design of the track and how it looks bland and uninspired and will probably lead to boring races. All this paints a very bleak picture for the race as although the spectacle of formula one cars racing down the famous las Vegas strip is amazing, the amount of money, time and resources spent on the event makes people wonder how long it will stick around for, if at all.
